Dade Medical College’s Story
At Dade Medical College, heart health is a cause that’s near and dear to us for more reasons than one. You may not know this, but women are more likely to die of a heart attack than men are, and heart disease kills even more women than breast cancer does. At a college where the majority of our employees – and students – are female, we want to ensure that in the months and years to come, the American Heart Association has the funding it needs to continue educating the public and saving lives.
Please join us in spreading the word about heart health, and in donating to this very important cause.
We’ll leave you with a message from our President and CEO, Ernesto Perez, who is the Chair of the 2013 Miami Heart and Stroke Ball:
“This year, I challenge each and every one of us to be taller than we actually are, stronger than we have ever thought we could be and most importantly, more giving and charitable than most folks would think wise. Miami has become a jewel in the crown of the United States of America, a city that is as rich in history as it is in its diverse culture and it is time to bring one and all into the fold. Therefore, our goal for the 2013 Heart Ball should be as big as the city in which we reside.”
